- I have tested a fair few Voice modems, and the ones which I
- have found acceptable were overwhelmingly based on Rockwell
- chipsets.

- If you want good sound quality, right now the chances are
- that you will not get it out of an el-cheapo modem.
- And just because your modem does not sound good, the chipset
- is not to blame, but the modem manufacturer who failed to
- properly design the modem.
