  13. : SELL ( a lot) and work for many. Check your H/W setup.

  15. Rockwell based modems are quite good actually. 
  16. I have tested a fair few Voice modems, and the ones which I
  17. have found acceptable were overwhelmingly based on Rockwell
  18. chipsets.

  20. If you want good sound quality, right now the chances are
  21. that you will not get it out of an el-cheapo modem.
  22. And just because your modem does not sound good, the chipset
  23. is not to blame, but the modem manufacturer who failed to
  24. properly design the modem.
